Care and growing
Leaves and growth
It grows along the ground – a creeping rhizome spreads sideways and the leaves emerge one after another. A wider, shallower pot suits it better than a tall one.
Light
A bright spot without direct sun.
Watering
Keep the soil slightly moist but not soggy. The rhizome should not be buried deep or stand in water.
Humidity and temperature
Appreciates higher humidity and a steady room temperature without cold or draughts.
Soil
A very airy aroid mix with bark and perlite.
Pets
Like other philodendrons it contains calcium oxalate and is toxic to cats and dogs.
